The last few years have been a whirlwind of activity in the AI space. It’s changing at such a rapid pace, most organizations don’t know where to start.
Big enterprises have dedicated innovation teams to take it on and start formulating a strategy. But, everyone else is left to figure this transformational technology out for themselves, not to mention executing the day to day work of delivering products and services to customers.
Now imagine if every for-profit, non-profit, educational and government organization in West Michigan had fundamental knowledge of AI, and a roadmap to integrate it into their processes, products and services. Not only would those organizations flourish, but our region would be elevated as a hub for AI Innovation.
This is the vision of InnovateAI. I believe that we need to provide a starting point for those orgs to help them begin their journey with AI. This takes the form of webinars, workshops, intensive multi-week cohorts, and technical deep-dives - all geared toward organizational leadership.
I know that change is hard - I hear it all the time. People fear the unknown and that is especially true of AI. Because they don’t understand it, people are afraid that AI is going to take their job. They are resistant to doing anything to make it more engrained in their organization.
Of course, AI can’t do everything, but it can make people much more efficient and give them back time to focus on higher value work. Embracing AI and truly using it to its potential requires both buy-in from leadership, and support from everyone in the field.
